Recipe: Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Sauce.
Quick and easy steps to make a delicious chocolate cake. Now stop bothering yourself with cake icings that are so difficult to get right and check out this cake with chocolate sauce. so simple that an amateur can make it.
Preparation time- 20 mins
Baking time- 1 hr
Serves-10
Ingredients.
Maida, flour- 2 cups.
Sugar( grinded)- 1-1/2 cups
Eggs-6
Cocoa powder- 6 tea spoons
Vegetable oil- 1 cup
Baking powder, baking soda- 1 tea spoon
Vanilla/ chocolate essence-1 tea spoon
For chocolate sauce-
Milk- 2 cups
Cocoa powder- 6 teaspoons
Drinking chocolate- 2 teaspoons(optional)
Coffee- 1/2 teaspoon
Salt- a pinch
Sugar- 4 teaspoons
Corn flour- 1 teaspoon (optional)
Chocolate essence- 2 drops
Rum/Brandy- 2 teaspoon (optional)
Method-
1. Grease the baking dish evenly with margarine/oil/butter and put a small amount of cocoa powder over it. Spread it without touching. (move the dish clock wise to let the flour stick to the dish). Put it aside.
2. Mix the Flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and sieve it. Put in aside. In another dish sieve the grinded sugar.
3. Put the eggs in a mixer and mix it until it becomes frothy. approx 2 mins.
4. Now add sugar (grinded and sieved) to the eggs in the mixer.
5. Mix the egg-sugar mixture for approx 2 mins.
6. Now add vegetable oil to it. Mix it for another 2 mins.
7. Put the mixer content in a dish (round) and add the flour-cocoa mixture in small quantities simultaneously stirring the mixture.
8. keep stirring the mixture with a table spoon to avoid lumps to form. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla/ chocolate essence to it.
9. A well beaten mixture will have bubbles popping up.
10. Put this mixture in a greased dish and bake it in a preheated oven. Oven temperature- 220 degree.
11. After an hour, Pierce a knitting needle into the Cake to check if it comes out clean, if it does, the cake is ready.
12. Also, the cake will leave the sides of the tin.
13. Let the cake remain in the oven after switching it off. Let it come to room temperature.
14. Inverse the tin on a plate, the cake easily comes out.
How to make chocolate sauce for icing.
1.Add cocoa powder, drinking chocolate, coffee, sugar, corn flour in milk.Add chopped dry fruits to it.
2. Give it a boil and then put it on sim.
3. keep stirring the mixture to avoid lump formations.
4. The mixture starts thickening.
5. Once the mixture has thickened considerably, remove it from gas and allow it to come to room temperature.
6. Add a drop of chocolate essence and rum/ brandy.
How to decorate the cake.
1. Cut the cake horizontally.
2. Moisture it by sprinkling water-sugar-rum liquid solution on it. Allow the cake to soak the mixture. Repeat if necessary.
2. Spread the chocolate sauce evenly over it.
3. Now place the two halves of the cake together.
4. Pour the rest of the chocolate sauce over the cake and spread it evenly.
How to serve.
Serve Hot: Just give it a quick heat in your microwave. The chocolate sauce melts and tastes great.
Serve Cold: Freeze the cake. Add a dollop of Cream over it.
